What Is Authorised Gas Tester Training?

Authorised Gas Tester Training prepares participants to safely test workplace atmospheres before and during activities where hazardous gases may be present. The training helps participants understand oxygen deficiency and enrichment, flammable gases, toxic gases, exposure limits and the correct use of gas detection instruments.

Participants also learn how atmospheric testing supports confined-space entry, hot work, permit-to-work activities and other high-risk industrial operations. The objective is to build the knowledge and practical competency needed to identify unsafe atmospheric conditions and communicate gas-testing results before work begins.
