Course Overview

The primary objective of this course is to instruct Integrated Management System(IMS) auditors in the principles and practices specific to auditing for conformance with the national and international accepted norms and regulations relating to Integrated Management System(IMS) requirements. Delegates will be assessed in two different ways, a written examination and a continuous assessment of the attitude and performance of the delegate..

SMS – Safety Management System

An SMS (or OHSMS) determines and continually improves an organization’s Health and Safety position and performance. It follows an outline and is managed like any other facet of a business, such as with marketing or engineering functions.

EMS – Environmental Management System

An Environmental Management System (EMS) determines and continuously improves an organization’s environmental position and performance.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

QMS – Quality Management System

A quality management system (QMS) is a set of policies, processes and procedures required for planning and execution (production, development, service) in the core business area of an organization, (i.e. areas that can impact the organization’s ability to meet customer requirements). ISO 9001:2015 is an example of a Quality Management System.

Who should attend?

It is recommended that delegates should have some prior knowledge of Integrated Management System(IMS) management systems standards and auditing. However, this is not mandatory as this course is intended for those who are relatively new to management systems auditing, but who have some occupational health and safety background.
