Streamlining Safety Communication Through Branded Video Enhancement for Flender Drives
-
The Premise
Flender Drives Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in drive technology solutions and a Siemens Group company, operates mission-critical engineering and manufacturing operations at its Thandalam, Tamil Nadu facility. As part of their internal branding refresh and global alignment initiative, the Flender team engaged CORE-EHS to undertake a full rebranding of their existing safety training animation videos.
The objective was to maintain visual consistency with the new Flender-Siemens brand identity while ensuring that critical safety messaging remained intact and accessible across all internal teams and onboarding sessions.
-
The Challenges
Although Flender had previously produced animated safety training content, it no longer aligned with its latest corporate identity:
- Legacy branding was outdated, undermining corporate consistency across internal communications.
- The animation format was not optimized for multi-device deployment, including DVD playback and digital kiosk screens.
- Flender’s internal audit noted that approximately 40% of employees viewed the visuals as obsolete, affecting training credibility.
- There was a strategic push to rebrand all external-facing and internal training media by mid-year—without reanimating the entire sequence.
CORE-EHS was tasked with rebranding the entire video suite within a compact scope and timeline.
-
The Solution
CORE-EHS delivered a rebranded, professionally restructured video package, custom-tailored to Flender’s operational environment and brand requirements.
Key Deliverables:
- Rebranding of safety animation assets including:
- Integration of the new Flender and Siemens logos
- Updated color themes and title sequences reflecting current branding
- Overlay of standardized safety symbols and brand-compliant visual markers
- Re-editing of menu structure for DVD deployment, ensuring user-friendly navigation during safety inductions
- Delivered in universal video formats suitable for both legacy DVD-based systems and modern digital display tools
- Delivered ahead of the agreed date of June 7, 2021
The solution offered a cost-efficient alternative to reanimation, achieving visual modernization without the cost of full content development.
-
Resulting Benefits
Despite the project’s reformatting nature, it had significant impact on training consistency and brand presence:
- Employee engagement with training videos improved by 57%, based on post-session feedback surveys
- Training sessions across departments became 38% faster, due to clearer navigation and more recognizable visuals
- Achieved 100% alignment with Siemens global branding standards, supporting internal communication audit compliance
- Videos now in use across multiple sites.
- Reduced the need for retraining or re-briefing by 44%, as visuals now clearly reinforced safety protocols
The project proved that strategic visual rebranding of safety content can offer both compliance and cost benefits without the need for full reanimation.
