1. The Premise

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and one of India’s largest integrated energy providers, partnered with CORE -EHS to reinforce its EHS culture. The requirement was to produce a high-quality, standardized 3D animated safety video for internal staff training across its technical learning centers and facilities.

BPCL chose CORE-EHS after extensive vetting of solution providers, citing our track record in industrial animation and multilingual safety content.

2. The Challenges

With multiple refineries, terminals, and training centers operating across the country, BPCL faced these critical EHS communication challenges:

• Variability in the interpretation of SOPs by newly inducted staff and contractors.
• More than 40% of training sessions were extended due to repeat clarifications or language gaps.
• Safety violations often stemmed from misunderstood hazards in high-risk zones such as tank farms and fuel handling areas.
• The need to comply with strict internal audit norms for training content and documented delivery of safety programs.

3. The Solution

CORE-EHS developed a 10-minute high-fidelity 3D animated video, reflecting BPCL’s plant environment, safety standards, and behavioral protocols.

Scope of Work:

• End-to-end scriptwriting, storyboarding, 3D animation, and production.
• Voiceover support in regional Indian languages, improving accessibility for 85% of target trainees.
• Integration of scene-specific safety tips, real-life accident prevention sequences, and Do’s & Don’ts based on BPCL’s SOPs.
• Delivery optimized for playback in both classroom and e-learning platforms.

The project also involved training and onboarding coordination with BPCL’s Sewree Learning Centre, and strict delivery timelines to match internal rollouts.

The deployment of the animation at BPCL’s training facilities led to measurable improvements within the first 60 days:
