Customized Safety Animation in Hindi for Adani Transmission Ltd.

1. The Premise

Adani Transmission Limited (ATL), one of India’s largest private power transmission companies, operates vast high-voltage networks across multiple states. In an effort to standardize EHS communication across regional field teams, ATL recognized the need for customized safety training animations in Hindi, which could be easily understood by ground-level technicians and contract workers.

To execute this, ATL partnered with CORE-EHS to develop a tailored Hindi-language 3D safety animation module, combining technical accuracy with cultural and linguistic accessibility.

2. The Challenges

• Safety communications were often conducted in English, creating a language barrier for over 60% of field-level staff, especially in rural and semi-urban transmission sites.
• Inconsistent induction methods and printed SOPs lacked visual impact and led to up to 35% retention loss after traditional safety briefings.
• ATL required content that was not only linguistically accurate but also technically sound, reflecting the actual field conditions and procedures followed by their transmission teams.
• The solution needed to be concise, visually engaging, and deployable across a wide network of ATL training centers.

3. The Solution

CORE-EHS delivered a customized 3D safety animation video in Hindi under SO No. 5700284098, dated 29.02.2020. This solution included:

• A high-quality, site-specific 3D animation module on critical safety operations related to transmission fieldwork.
• Professional Hindi voiceover and scripting, curated in collaboration with ATL’s HSE team to ensure message clarity and compliance accuracy.
• Delivery in .mp4 format for seamless use in ATL’s regional safety briefings, tool-box talks, and onboarding sessions.
• All animations developed using photographic references and operational insights provided by ATL from their active project sites.

The total execution was completed well within schedule, following a tightly coordinated review process that included ATL’s EHS and training departments.

4. Resulting Benefits

Following the deployment of the animation at ATL’s regional centers, the impact was measurable and immediate:

• Safety training recall improved by 58%, based on internal assessments conducted before and after the animation rollout.
• Trainer dependency reduced by 42%, as field offices began using the video as a standard replacement for manual inductions.
