Safety Induction Animation for GCPL – Site-Specific Training at Baddi Plant
The Premise
Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (GCPL), a global leader in the personal and household care sector, operates multiple high-performance manufacturing sites across India. One such critical location is its Apparel Park facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, which handles large-scale production and workforce movement on a daily basis.
To enhance workforce safety compliance and visitor orientation, GCPL commissioned CORE-EHS to design and deliver a 3D animated safety video tailored to their Baddi facility’s operational layout and hazard profile.
The Challenges
GCPL identified a need for stronger engagement during safety inductions and consistent messaging for site visitors and third-party vendors. Specific challenges included:
Traditional inductions relied on static visuals and presentations, which failed to hold attention.
Roughly 40% of inductees failed to recall evacuation steps or PPE rules post-session, as noted in internal feedback reports.
Frequent contractor rotations demanded quick, repeatable, and standardized onboarding tools.
The plant’s layout and machinery presented unique hazard zones that generic training videos couldn’t address effectively.
The Solution
CORE-EHS developed a custom 3D animated safety induction film—initially 5 minutes (300 seconds) and later extended by an additional 60 seconds upon request.
Key Features:
Script, storyboard, and visuals based on real GCPL Baddi site photos, SOPs, and safety layouts.
Covered key elements:
Entry protocols
PPE zones and safety signage
Hazardous material zones
Emergency exits and assembly points
Delivered in high-definition .mp4 format, suitable for screen, projector, and internal LMS playback.
Multi-phase billing structure: 50% advance, 30% on first draft, 10% on final delivery, 10% post-invoice.
Resulting Benefits
The project yielded immediate training and compliance advantages:
Visitor induction time reduced by 45%, enabling faster contractor access and reduced supervisor effort.
Post-video assessments showed a 57% improvement in hazard recall compared to traditional methods.
Supervisors reported a 38% drop in on-site queries related to PPE and emergency behavior.
The Baddi EHS team now uses the video as a mandatory component of their induction protocol—with plans to replicate for other units.
Internal audits noted the video’s use as a “digital benchmark for factory induction.”
This collaboration exemplifies CORE-EHS’s ability to translate real-world operational risk into visual, memorable, and site-specific training content, strengthening compliance and reducing onboarding effort.
A major oil and gas company operating in the Barmer region of Rajasthan initiated a long-term safety training program at its Mangala Processing Terminal.
A prominent player in India’s energy infrastructure sector, known for its commitment to operational excellence and safety, partnered with CORE-EHS in October 2020.
