Rebranding Safety Animation Assets for a Global Industrial Drive Technology Leader
The Premise
Flender Drives Pvt. Ltd., a Siemens subsidiary and global expert in mechanical and electrical drive systems, operates extensive manufacturing and assembly facilities at its Thandalam site near Chennai. In March 2021, the organization identified the need to rebrand and repurpose its safety animation videos and induction DVDs in alignment with evolving internal branding standards and visitor training frameworks.
To execute this task with precision and within a compressed timeline, Flender partnered with CORE-EHS, known for delivering specialized animation solutions for industrial safety communication.
The Challenges
While Flender already had a functioning set of animated videos and DVD-based safety assets, they encountered operational friction:
Existing assets reflected outdated branding, visuals, and formatting, inconsistent with Siemens Group communication standards.
HR and EHS teams found it difficult to distribute content uniformly, especially via older DVD formats.
The lack of brand continuity reduced perceived authority and professionalism of safety briefings.
Physical assets like DVDs were not universally compatible across various site devices, affecting training continuity.
There was a critical need to modernize, repackage, and rebrand these materials without starting content creation from scratch.
The Solution
CORE EHS delivered a rebranding and content formatting service.
Key Services Included:
Re-editing and rebranding of existing animated safety videos, incorporating:
Updated Flender-Siemens logo transitions
Refreshed color palettes, lower thirds, and scene openers to reflect new brand guidelines
Integration of revised messaging based on input from Flender’s EHS and training team
DVD-format delivery with menu structuring, ensuring seamless navigation and playback on site-compatible devices
Compliance with Siemens export and content policy norms, including metadata encoding and video output labeling
All assets were delivered before the committed March 31, 2021 deadline for internal rollout.
Resulting Benefits
Though the project scope was focused and non-creative, the results delivered real operational value:
Training consistency across teams improved by 53%, as reported by EHS heads during internal audits
Brand compliance across all safety video touchpoints reached 100%, satisfying Siemens internal brand audit standards
Training session setup time reduced by 41%, thanks to user-friendly DVD menus and chapter-based navigation
Positive feedback from new inductees increased by 66%, citing clarity and professionalism of updated materials
The revamped videos are now shared across multiple Flender sites, maximizing reusability and ROI
This case demonstrated that even non-original animation work, when rebranded and optimized, can breathe new life into training ecosystems—boosting engagement, compliance, and brand alignment.
