1. The Premise

JSW Steel Ltd., a leading global player in the steel manufacturing industry, runs its expansive Dolvi Works in Maharashtra. With safety compliance and hazard awareness being paramount across steel plant operations, the EHS team recognized the need to modernize their existing training communication tools.

JSW approached CORE-EHS with the goal of developing custom 3D safety animation videos to train both visitors and internal personnel on high-risk standards and gate protocols.

2. The Challenges

Operating in a high-risk industrial setting, JSW needed an effective visual medium that could bridge knowledge gaps and boost safety adherence across their workforce. Key issues included:

• Lack of visual standardization in existing safety training materials.
• Inconsistent briefing quality depending on the trainer, especially during gate training for contract workers and visitors.

JSW’s EHS team needed content that was scalable, bilingual, and aligned with internal safety standards and legal frameworks such as the Factories Act and Indian Electrical Rules.

CORE-EHS developed two high-impact 3D animated safety videos tailored to JSW’s Dolvi operations:

1. High-Risk Standards Safety Video (Approx. 25 minutes)

• Detailed visualization of critical safety hazards such as working at heights, electrical risks, gas usage, and confined space entry.
• Covered over 80% of the company’s categorized high-risk activities, ensuring thorough EHS induction for core operations.
• Narration and animation synced in Hindi, catering to the plant’s major workforce demographic.

1. Gate Training Safety Video (Approx. 7 minutes)

• Walkthrough of site entry protocols, PPE requirements, safe movement areas, and vehicle compliance.
• Designed for fast-paced induction at gate security points, reducing manpower burden.

Project Details:

• Draft versions presented and finalized post detailed reviews by JSW representatives.
