1. The Premise

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited, a flagship entity within the L&T Group specializing in complex hydrocarbon infrastructure projects, approached CORE -EHS to develop a series of high-impact safety training animations for its fabrication yard operations in Hazira.

The requirement: a set of English-language voice-over safety videos addressing fabrication yard hazards for the IOCL Ethylene Glycol Column project .

2. The Challenges

Operating in a heavy fabrication yard involves an array of risks—ranging from welding and rigging hazards to crane operations, chemical exposure, and falling object risks. The L&T team flagged multiple issues:

• Existing training methods lacked visual depth, making it hard for workers to fully understand real-time risks.
• Language-neutral delivery with visual learning was necessary to support a workforce comprising multiple linguistic backgrounds.
• Manual induction consumed over 30% of EHS supervisors’ daily working hours, limiting bandwidth for inspections and audits.
• A recent internal audit showed only 52% retention of critical safety SOPs among new entrants.

L&T required a training medium that was consistent, engaging, technically accurate, and scalable across multiple batches and shifts.

3. The Solution

CORE-EHS created a suite of audio-visual training videos using 3D animation and voice-over in English, tailored specifically to the Hazira fabrication yard’s layout, activities, and documented hazards.
